A nice little nudge
I am so inspired by the photo and article about Valerie Ramsey. So much so, that it has motivated me to get to the gym (that I pay for and haven't used for some time) this morning. I am the mother of 5 children, ages 41-52 and have 11 grandchildren. And, even though I have always practiced a positive and healthy lifestyle with fitness and nutrition, I am a 3 time breast cancer survivor, and I have allowed myself to become a bit of a slug with regard to regular exercise this past year. Thank you for the 'serendipitous' reminder this morning!--Shirley

A caregiver's plea

In response to your request for what we want and need from Spry, first of all I want to say that this issue was quite good. I appreciated the fact that not all the articles were about the young and beautiful! We who are older need just as much help, if not more. I try to stay active, caring for my husband who is in the throes of Alzheimer's. So, I would like more articles that would deal with my problem. I enjoyed the article Finding your Funny Bone.--Betty Ann

Motivated and inspired
I am 65, the ski patrol director at our racing hill in Steamboat Springs, CO, and
a guide for the over the hill gang at the big mountain. My motivation and inspiration are my 5 grandchildren. I want to be around for my youngest granddaughter's wedding. She's 3, hopefully she'll be married by 27--that's 24 more years. So I must do everything possible to be around with good health at age 89. My father died at 80; my grandfather died 63. So my efforts must be extraordinary. I want my grandchildren to have the benefit of my experience; I can only do that if i am around. Keep up the good work.-- Frank
