Oh Yeah?

Myth: Women need to drink milk more than men do.

Fact: Milk has long been touted as one of the best sources of calcium, so it'd make sense to think that women need to drink up. After all, eight out of every 10 people who have osteoporosis-a disease in which bones become brittle due to a lack of calcium-are women. But the dairy beverage also comes loaded with vitamins A, B12 and D, as well as minerals such as magnesium and potassium that benefit both men and women-not bad for a drink with fewer than 100 calories per cup (for the skim variety). What's more, some research has suggested that people who include lots of dairy products in their diets could have a lower risk of bladder cancer than folks who avoid milk, yogurt and cheese. And one study of nearly 800 men suggested that loading up on dairy foods might help lower the risk for heart attack and stroke.
